Since it’s Friday, I thought I would share some random things I found this week. First I’ll start with something very strange. I found this on the NPR blog called Picture Show. Would you do this? Read the story Here and go to see the exhibit at the Arab Museum of Modern Art
Here is a very interesting exhibit at ICP here in New York. What an amazing find. Can’t wait to see the images.
Finally, I found this in our kitchen. I love patterns and find this mesmerizing. It’s an old recipe transferred to fax paper. The mix of stains, type and notes really make this a beautiful piece of art.
I don’t know how I feel about the camera head fellow. I think the idea is that no one would want to do this, so it draws our attention. A lot of performance art is based on extremes, at least the pieces I’ve seen. I’m sure the shots will be interesting considering we never see what the other people in the herd are doing. He could’ve done the same thing with the device attached to a removable object, but I don’t think that’s in performance artist’s natures. We’ll see though! ;D
As for the faxed recipe, very beautiful!
I agree with you Gretchen. I think the camera attached to the head is going a little overboard. But that’s what gets attention.
