The Armory Show
This year marks the centennial of The Armory Show. The show brings artwork from around the world and puts it all under one roof for all to see. Since 1913 it has been very instrumental in the way Americans look and interact with all forms of art. As in the past, this year’s show brings together a large number of influential photo galleries from around the world and those located here in NYC. For a list of some of the photo galleries involved (with photographs) visit Le Journal de la Photographie. For The Armory Show web site click on the image above. It’s definitely worth a visit.
Taking Stock
I have been spending much of my time over the last two weeks shooting for my stock archive. The light this time of year is absolutely fantastic, so I want to take every change I get to shoot. Keeping busy shooting is nice, but it’s also nice to get calls from clients who want to see what I’ve recently been up to. I send images to several stock houses and one art consultant who works with a variety of hotels, designers, and architects. The consultant recently called and asked if I had any architecture images that were design oriented. Good thing I’m always shooting. They wanted single horizontal images or groups of three verticals. Finished size is to be at least 6 ft wide. Here are some examples of what I presented to them.
