What I love about taking a person’s portrait is the variety of looks, feelings, and emotions that can be captured on film. I had the pleasure of working with Mayumi, a NY model who is half Japanese and half Irish, on a one-day shoot. We shot in a friends apartment in Chelsea using the available light coming from a series of very large windows. It was fun matching the look to the surroundings.
