As a portrait photographer, I always look forward to these year-end “best of” galleries.
I couldn’t have said this better myself:

I get the chance, every so often, to photograph celebrities, but rarely in their backyards. Late last month I had another photo shoot for TeachersCount, this time with actors Maggie Gyllenhaal and Austin Pendleton. With no room for a 9-ft white background, our only option was to incorporate the garden. It’s slightly different from the usual white seamless in past TeachersCount shoots, but I like the feel. Here are some outtakes. The poster is due out in September.
